In order to be able to promote and deliver a version of the Business Improvement Techniques qualification accredited by the Automotive Academy, the client wanted a number of trainers from their own and other training organisations to be accredited to deliver this qualification.
Annie Rogers worked with the client and the Automotive Academy with an agreed budget to identify candidate trainers (around 65 involved in the programme), and then to organise the benchmarking of their current skills as a trainer and their knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, to put them through three intensive courses to enhance their own skills and knowledge in the subject and then arrange such further remedial tuition and product familiarisation as was required until the trainer had met the standard set by the Automotive Academy (the accrediting organisation). Typical duration for each individual was between 3 and 6 months.

Trainers who completed the accreditation process were able to deliver the new qualification and show that they had been accredited to the standards required by the sector.
